Xin Zhao, The Seneschal of Demacia Champion Update Revealed – League of Legends

Riot Games is finally giving one of League of Legends’ oldest champions, Xin Zhao, the visual overhaul fans have been begging for. Patch 25.17 introduces an across-the-board redesign for the Seneschal of Demacia, refreshing his base model, polishing animations, and breathing new life into all of his skins. Riot has even cracked open the vault, making every legacy Xin Zhao skin available for a limited time — and teasing a brand-new Epic skin for Act 1.

For a champion first released in 2010, this facelift is more than cosmetic. Riot says the update is part of a broader push in Season 3 to modernize older champions without altering their gameplay identity. In other words, Xin mains can still pull off their signature “three-talon strike → knock-up” combos, just with way sharper armor textures and facial detail that looks like it belongs in 2025.
