If you have been waiting to lay the smackdown, the wait is officially over. As of today, March 6, 2026, the early access period for WWE 2K26 is completely live for anyone who picked up the King of Kings, Attitude Era, or Monday Night War editions. The standard edition, featuring the Best in the World himself, CM Punk, on the cover, will follow up next week on March 13. Visual Concepts is pulling out all the stops this year with massive overhauls and a staggering amount of content.

The Biggest Roster in Franchise History

Forget everything you knew about wrestling game rosters. WWE 2K26 is launching with over 400 playable superstars. ➜ The Heavy Hitters: You get all your current favorites from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, alongside legends like The Rock, Stone Cold, and Chyna. ➜ The AAA Invasion: Because WWE acquired Lucha Libre AAA last year, we are getting a massive injection of luchadors! Stars like Rey Fénix and Psycho Clown are officially joining the brawl. ➜ Say His Name: Yes, the rumors are true. Joe Hendry is in the game as a preorder bonus, bringing his infectious entrance music to the grand stage. 👏

Inferno Matches, Intergender Brawls, and The Ringside Pass

The gameplay is seeing a massive shift, specifically with the completely revamped stamina and reversal system that forces you to think tactically before spamming grapples. ➜ New Match Types: The community asked, and 2K delivered. Dumpster, Inferno, I Quit, and Three Stages of Hell matches are all officially back. ➜ Intergender Wrestling: You can finally book intergender matches across multiple game modes, completely breaking the old restrictions and letting you create wild dream matchups. ➜ The Ringside Pass: Traditional character packs are gone. They have been replaced by the new Ringside Pass system, a seasonal track that unlocks new wrestlers, arenas, and cosmetics the more you play.

Visual Concepts is absolutely cooking this year. Giving CM Punk the spotlight for the 2K Showcase mode is a massive win, and bringing back the Inferno and Dumpster matches is pure Attitude Era nostalgia. The roster size is bordering on ridiculous, but having access to 400 different wrestlers means the MyGM mode is going to be infinitely replayable. If you are a wrestling fan, this is easily the most complete package we have seen in over a decade.
