Mechs on Broken Moon: The Apex Legends X Gundam Event Revealed

The official reveal for the Apex Legends x Gundam Event just hit the web, and it is confirmed to launch on March 10, 2026. This isn’t just a handful of skins; it’s a full-scale invasion of the Gundam universe into the Apex Games.

Broken Moon is getting a massive makeover for the duration of the event, transforming into Reborn Broken Moon. We’re talking massive, climbable Wing Gundam statues and destroyed Mobile Suits scattered across the terrain. If you look up, you’ll even see massive battleships duking it out in the skybox. It’s exactly the kind of environmental storytelling that makes a crossover feel like a true event rather than just a shop update.

For the first time, we are getting a crossover weapon in the form of the Buster Rifle, which will be dropping exclusively in Care Packages. This isn’t your standard long-range tool; it allows for aerial recon and fires devastating laser beams that explode on impact. The event also introduces Gundam Abilities via new Wild Cards like Epyon’s Lash, which adds a magnetic melee pull, and Zero Sacrifice, which triggers a self-destruct explosion on death. It’s essentially “Titanfall lite,” and seeing a Legend fly around with these mechanics is going to be a nightmare for anyone trying to rotate through the map.
