Foldable Gaming is Real: The Lenovo Legion Go Fold Leaks

Just when you thought handheld PCs had reached their final form, Lenovo decided to get weird in the best way possible. Leaks ahead of MWC 2026 (kicking off tomorrow, March 2) have revealed the Legion Go Fold Concept, a Windows-based gaming handheld with a foldable 11.6-inch POLED display (according to Windows Latest).

This isn’t just a gimmick; it’s a total reimagining of how we use these devices. When it’s folded, you’re looking at a standard 7.7-inch handheld that fits comfortably in your grip. But once you unfold it, the screen expands into a massive tablet-sized powerhouse. The real magic is in the Vertical Split-Screen Mode, which lets you keep your game on the top half while running Discord, a walkthrough, or a stream on the bottom. It’s essentially a Nintendo DS on steroids, minus the stylus and the mid-2000s nostalgia.

Under the hood, the leak points to the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V (Lunar Lake) processor paired with a beefy 32GB of RAM. While some hardware purists might be bummed it’s not the newer Panther Lake chip, the focus here is clearly on thermal management and battery longevity. Speaking of which, it houses a 48Wh battery, which is a bit of a gamble for a screen this size. You’ll definitely want to keep your charger close if you’re planning a marathon session of Cyberpunk 2077.

The hardware versatility doesn’t stop at the screen. Lenovo is including detachable wireless controllers, and the right-hand unit has a hidden talent: it features a tiny built-in display for performance metrics and can even transform into a vertical mouse for FPS games. Pair the unfolded screen with the included wireless magnetic keyboard, and you’ve basically got a “mini-desktop” that fits in a backpack.

Since this is currently labeled a “Concept,” there’s no official price tag yet, but don’t expect it to be budget-friendly. Lenovo has a history of turning these wild prototypes into actual products—like the ThinkBook Rollable—so there is a very good chance the WILD SURF crew will be folding their way through levels by the end of the year.
