If you thought you were stuck waiting until the end of April to explore the lunar surface, think again! In a massive surprise during the recent Capcom Spotlight presentation, the highly anticipated science fiction action adventure Pragmata just got a brand new release date. For once, it is arriving early.
After years of delays, Capcom pulled off a hilarious fakeout trailer. They showed a note from the android companion Diana that looked exactly like her infamous delay drawings, only to reveal that the launch has been pushed up to April 17, 2026. That gives Pragmata practically the entire month to dominate the charts before the summer rush hits! 🔥
The new trailer gave us a much deeper look into the world outside of the intense combat. Players will be spending a lot of time in The Shelter, a customizable hub where protagonists Hugh and Diana can catch their breath.
Here is what is new: âžś Cabin the Robot: You get a new support bot named Cabin who manages your rewards and a stamp club system. âžś Jukebox Tunes: You can unlock and play new background music while hanging out in your base. âžś Cosmetic Upgrades: The deluxe edition includes some wild new outfits, including a samurai inspired Neo Bushido armor for Hugh and dances for Diana.
Pragmata is touching down on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and the Nintendo Switch 2. However, there is a slight catch for Nintendo fans. Because the date moved up so suddenly, digital preorders for the Switch 2 version in North America and Europe were automatically canceled by the system. If you want those early bird bonuses, you will need to head back to the eShop and lock in your preorder again!

If you still are not sure what the hype is about, the Pragmata Sketchbook Demo is completely free right now across all digital storefronts. You can test out the fluid shooting and hacking mechanics and carry your save data right into the full game.
Seeing a game get moved up a week because it is actually finished is the kind of energy the gaming industry needs right now! The combat looks incredibly deep, and the dynamic between a heavily armed astronaut and a reality hacking android is such a cool concept. If you have a free weekend in mid April, it is absolutely time to book your ticket to the moon.
For BREAK THE META, this is WILD SURF. Catch you on the next drop!
