If you have been loving the tactical top down chaos of PUBG Blindspot, get ready to completely change your strategies. Scheduled maintenance kicks off tomorrow, March 12, to usher in Competitive Season 2 and drop the brand new agent, Jammer.

If your squad is tired of getting pushed by enemy electronics and Blue Zone Grenades, Jammer is going to be your absolute best friend. Let us break down what this anti tech extremist is bringing to the arena.

The Loadout and The Nullifier

Jammer is a researcher from Retreats who specializes in shutting down the enemy team’s toys.

• Primary Weapon: JS9. A modern submachine gun with a massive magazine capacity, perfect for spraying down chokepoints.
• Secondary Weapon: P226. A highly balanced tactical pistol for when you inevitably run out of ammo during a heavy firefight.
• Unique Gadget: The Nullifier EMP Mine. This is where Jammer truly shines. Once placed on the ground, this tactical mine automatically detects and completely neutralizes any enemy electronic equipment within its radius.

The EMP Mine is going to be a massive counter to the current meta. It instantly shuts down Drill Cameras, Proxy Mines, Motion Sensors, and even those pesky Sticky Grenades. If you are playing on the Defense team, placing this near a high traffic objective is going to completely ruin the Attackers push.

Agent Pricing and Balance Changes

To celebrate the launch of Competitive Season 2, the developers are actually slashing the prices of older agents. Previously locked characters are getting a 50 percent discount, dropping from 3,000 SP down to 1,500 SP! However, as the newest addition to the roster, Jammer will still cost the full 3,000 SP, so hopefully you have been saving up your points.

The patch is also bringing some much needed balance adjustments to the game. Sticky Grenades are getting their explosion radius reduced, and the developers are finally separating the spread values for standing and crouching, meaning your accuracy will not completely tank when you quickly stand up from cover.

This agent is exactly what the game needed. Having a dedicated counter to all the deployable traps and cameras will force teams to rely much more on raw gun skill rather than just spamming gadgets. Make sure you log in tomorrow after the maintenance window to unlock him!
