The footage confirms exactly why everyone is panicking: the Buster Rifle is a Care Package weapon that completely ignores the rules of the game. If you pick up this massive beam weapon, you can launch yourself skyward for aerial recon, scan through walls to mark the entire enemy squad, and then unleash a laser beam that literally cuts straight through solid cover and explodes on impact. You read that right. Doors, walls, and Gibraltar domes will not save you from this thing!

Broken Moon Gets a Makeover

The Gundam invasion is not just bringing overpowered weapons; it is completely transforming the Broken Moon map. You will be hot dropping around massive climbable Wing Gundam statues and navigating through the wreckage of destroyed Mobile Suits, all while capital ships battle it out in the sky above.

Alongside the Buster Rifle, the event is introducing new toys like Bit Staves that you can use to absorb incoming damage or deploy as offensive drones. Of course, it would not be an Apex event without a massive cosmetic drop. Respawn is releasing eight legendary Gundam inspired skins, including Crypto as Freedom Gundam, Valkyrie as Wing Gundam Zero, and Alter as Gundam Epyon. And if you are a real collector, Bandai is actually releasing three limited edition physical Gunpla model kits matching these exact legendary skins! Preorders for those physical kits open up on March 18.
